lucky for me my wife is a most excellent baker.
the only problem is, it's just the two of us but she bakes as if the kids (5) are still in the house.
this wasn't a problem when I was working at the office instead of from home.
my co workers were very appreciative of the baked goods I brought in.

As to thanksgiving, I just got a text from my 16 year old daughter to remind me that a month ago I said that I would make some mashed potatoes for a "friendsgiving" she was going to. And she needs them by 4:00 today for at least 15 people. Doesn't she know that once your over 50 you need to be reminded of this stuff with more than 4 hours notice?

Hi folks, I'm back. I had to just disconnect for the last 3 weeks. We are home finally today, after a trip that started with Nashville-Boston-Maine and back the same way. We are not supposed to survive our children...I'm not the only one on this thread who has experienced this. I'm still trying to figure out how you get through it.

Fortunately, the tanks are mostly on autopilot. Our local son fed the fish and also managed to set the alarm on the wrong code, so when we came home and opened the door, our alarm when screaming off....nice.

Thank you for all of your condolences, thoughts, and prayers. It means a lot. We will get through this.

I'm looking forward to next week, where we will have the pitter patter of little feet, mostly destroying my house. I welcome it.

Good morning. My daughter is coming home from college today for the Thanksgiving break. One of her local friends from high school (also now in college but not same one as my daughter)will be staying with us also. She has never really gotten along with her mother and that situation has gotten even worse so we invited her to stay with us for the holidays. Which she gratefully accepted. She’s had a hard life and is a great person in spite of it all.

over 60 and still gaming.
play solo against the games though.
used to play guild wars before they ruined it by going open world only.
gets old being told how you "have" to play the game.
