Good Morning!

It’s 3:00am and there is no sleeping tonite. NOAA radio and phone have been blowing up for hours. White Bluff is under the tornado WARNING right now and the town sirens are singing. Power is out and tank is on backup.

Hope you're safe! Still on battery backup?
It’s 5:07 and my return pump is still running. Power is still out here but the major storm system has moved east of us.

good morning! we. were under tornado warning until 6 am. i went to sleep at 1. as i rise, power is still on and all is well here.
yesterday my skimmer was not working so i pulled it out. when i pulled off the air nozzle i could see the problem, there was a small chunk of white plastic in the intake of the pump. egg crate? since i had it out i ran it in a bucket of citric acid that i had left from the gyre clean. after that i disassembled and cleaned it. back on and probably good for another 6 months. be well,

Good morning everybody. Stay safe, take care of you and yours, and be well.

Good Morning All!
Power is back on and the storm front is now moving east and passing over Nashville. Once again, we dodged another bullet here in White Bluff. Lots of tornado/storm damage in Tennessee and Kentucky over night though.
Having my first cup of coffee and then resetting a gazillion clocks.
Have a great day Everyone!

Holy Cow!!!!!!
Local news just said that one tornado left a damage path 246 miles long. Touched down in NE Arkansas, passed through NW Tennessee and lifted in central Kentucky. They are saying it may very well be the longest path in the history of keeping records.
Thoughts and prayers to all who were in its path.

Good morning. My heart go out to all the lives lost and damage from the storms last night. We had lots of rain and high winds and tornado watches until 6 am. High winds continue through out the day. Stay safe everyone!

Went to Nashville airport to return Angela’s rental car this morning. Normally a 45 minute drive each way took over 2 hours each way. Road closures everywhere due to downed trees and debris.
Didnt realize just how close to us some of these tornadoes touched down. Cheatham County, next county over from us is like a war zone. Snapped power poles, trees down on houses and out buildings laying along the roadsides. We saw trees as large as 18” in diameter, snapped off half way up.
Crazy!
We better start taking better care of this planet because Mother Nature really has a bone to pick with us!

Just horrible news today with the tornados...in December??? We've had enough to deal with personally this year, but I can't imagine what some of those families are going through right now. Our Nashville son lives over by the airport and still doesn't have power. He said the airport recorded a 78 mph wind gust. Thankfully, it calmed down a bit as it moved east. We had wind and heavy rain, but nothing terrible. I thought we might be firing up the generators for a while.

I'm a little late today. After the weather this morning, we left in the pouring rain for a little bit of fun, the b-day party for our 3-year-old grandson. Thankfully, the party just had a total of 4 preschoolers, which was enough. They had a good time without too much drama...other than fighting over balloons and the major crisis with the chocolate cupcake that did a faceplant...or an icing plant...in the floor. They will be finding sprinkles in weird places for a while. It was like a cupcake explosion!

The weather in NC looks good for the next few days, so we're looking forward to a little getaway. I finally went to the LFS and got my alk powder. I also changed the filter sock and cleaned out the skimmer. Yay me! Tanks should be good with no weather issues to worry about, at least for the next few days.

Good morning everyone. My heart goes out to all of those struggling throughout the storm-ravaged areas.
