three days left.
contractor called and said they can't make the numbers work.
my manager is trying to make it work. (allegedly)
contacted a former co-worker. lots of work there.:)
if nothing gets decided this week, i'll just go hunt next week.

Good morning! The conversation happened yesterday. The intent is for me to go part time, working the minimal hours needed to keep benefits. I have a few years before I reach the "golden" age. Husband is already there, so he doesn't factor into the equation. I still don't have a lot of the details I need, but the process has been started.

Boss asked when I wanted to start part time. Me: "Tomorrow." Ummm, that might not work. Bosses' boss wants me to stay full time through the end of the year. Me: "No." We agreed on November 1st. I still don't know what will happen November 1st, but something better happen! Waiting on HR details now.

Thank you! I'm just done with all the extracurricular activities....meetings about meetings, work groups, task forces, process improvements, etc. I don't want to improve anything else. Just leave me alone and let me crunch numbers! I guess I'll have to go to an occasional meeting....if I happen to be there that day. :cool:

It was early evening when a fully loaded minivan pulled into the only remaining campsite. As soon as it stopped, four children leaped out. They began to unload gear and worked feverishly to set up the tent. Next, the boys ran to gather firewood while the girls helped Mom set up the camp kitchen. The camper next door was impressed. “I’ve never seen such teamwork,” he said. The father nodded sagely. “I have a system,” he explained. “No one goes to the bathroom before the camp is ready.”
 
Good morning. Dog free today, except for mine, I needed a little break before next one comes tomorrow! Got new tires on my car yesterday and getting alignment done today. Said they would have to keep my car all day… I hate being without my car even if I’m not planning on going anywhere.

My mom was the cook of the family. The moment she started up the grill, neighbors would line up and sit in a pile of drool waiting on the food to be done. They didn't even ask if they were invited. They invited themselves and she always made sure there was enough for everyone.

God knows, I miss my parents. They were great, with their flaws and all. Took my 30+ yrs to figure it out.
