I would suggest pulling the hammer and giving it a iodine dip and a marine melafix dip to remove any baddies and stop any injury it may have from it from getting infected

I have none of that as I’m very new so I will need to order some

One of the heads is opening up and the other is not and the head on the right is the affected one

I see something waving in the water. I guess a dip is all you can do now. Unless you can rotate the coral and see if the creature is hiding in the hammer.

Dip all corals before adding to the tank, it will remove any pests that maybe irritating the coral. Not all pests are affected by dips but the majority are
Should I do a dip tomorrow that’s when the stuff arrives and could I do a freshwater dip in the meantime ?

yep that’s what I think to be the pest and then it also appears to be inside the mouth of the hammer

That is not good. I do not believe a dip will reach the pest if it is living inside the hammer. HMm I will search for this elegance coral picture. It is very scary.

OMG ..... Can you remove the coral and see the pest? I would use tweezers to remove it. or a skewer.
