Hammer coral critter?

OMG ..... Can you remove the coral and see the pest? I would use tweezers to remove it. or a skewer.

Edit, the picture is from this thread.

I can suck up the white stuff that looks like the parasite with a turkey blaster thing

It might dislodge the parasite, or cause it to hide further in the flesh.

It would need to be Ro/DI water.
I have sucked up what I can see and have turned off the lights for abit to try and coax it out, it comes out when they are off more

I hope there isn't anymore of it. I can't really make any of that out.

Also, I hope the hammer can recover... I don't know how to rebuild the skeleton missing.

Yes thanks for your help so far and I’ll definitely make sure to dip future corals !!

That was a scary sight to see on the poor hammer. GL on recovery. You may need to look into sealing off that portion that's exposed. I don't know anyone really who does those things.

It looks to be in very bad condition. All I was going to recommend was to remove whatever made the holes and then turn the lights off.

Also a 10% water change may help.

Yep thanks I’ll dip tomorrow and that will hopefully heal it abit and clear out any others also if one head dies does that mean the rest of the coral dies or just the one head

Someone may suggest to frag off the injured head and cut slightly below the skeleton and glue it to a frag.

It’s not looking good

That thing really did a lot of damage, I wouldn't trim the tissue. And let it heal on it's own. Dip when it arrives. You don't want to mess with the flesh if you don't have any iodine.

Okay I can see it’s all under the tissue but it’s not on the other head …. Yet :( I mean it’s been a great start to reefing my first coral died
