My 75 fish only (aggressive) tank is having some problems. My panther grouper has no energy and lays on the bottom all day long. Also all of his fins are starting to wither away, I included a pic almost 3/4 of his right fin is gone. Loss of appetite as well. My tank parameters are all in the ok zone and I've been doing just water changes until I figure out something new. Also my lion fish has some white spots in between the spikes on his fins but I'm not sure if it's ich or just his color pattern. Please help!! Thank you

The lionfish spots look normal to me, but i could be wrong so hopefully renee chimes in. Is the grouper eating?or just a curb appetite? She looks sad =/

The grouper didn't eat for almost two weeks. I went back to ghost shrimp today and she ate 3 small ones. So that's an improvement But those fins are really worrying me. The right fin is almost gone and I've only had her for about 2 or 3 months.

At first I thought my eel might have taken a bite but the other fins look kind of withered too ?

Gotta get her feeding, if shes eating the shrimp, get more. Those a perfectly clear photos but i cant seem to wrap my head around what it could be. Looks like fin rot, hopefully someone from the team will chime in when they wakeup. Also grab melafix from your lfs, its a good thing to have on hand for stuff like this. She looks malnourished, so before anything try to get her eating.
Neither of them at all look like they have ich, so i would put that aside for now

You have an eel, Panther grouper, and lion in a 75?

The panther will outgrow a 180 in a couple of years! Sorry I don't mean to derail, I wouldn't add more fish..

I agree with the antibiotic treatment. I hope that your fish pull through! :)

I agree with @4FordFamily a 75 seem to small for the grouper and that might have an effect on the grouper. The lionfish look like it has ich? if so and @Lionfish Lair is a much better judge that I, I would start using metorplex , vitamin M and seachem focus when feeding to boost the fish immune systems.

How long have you owned them? What have you been feeding them?

Those larger white spots in the center of the picture are fine. They are not Ich. What I would like to see are different pictures of the clear skin between the dorsal fins. There looks to be spots back there and I'm pointing to one with the blue arrow. Can you put up more pictures of that section of the volitans? BTW, that is one GORGEOUS fish. He's got the perfect shape. What is going on with the pectoral fins? Why is that one area broken and folded over (red arrow). That's not supposed to be like that, I'm afraid.

How much did you change? How old is the tank? Your sand looks rather new and your rock looks like it has "new tank" algae.

Thank you, yes that lionfish is my baby lol he's huge. I'm not exactly sure why the part of his fin is broken he was like that when I bought him from the pet store out in Chicago. I did a 10 gallon water change last night and this tank has been running for about 6 months. I had been feeding mostly goldfish and small Rosies to everyone in the tank but just recently switched over to frozen shrimp/meat/seafood from the store. Standby I will take some pics of the lion right now and post them

He's probably a good 10-11 inches from head to tail. He seems to be in good health, he has excellent appetite and anytime I walk into the room he follows me from every side of the tank. Those spots looked so much like ich I was scarred. The grouper on the other hand is going to be tougher to fix

Being this is a fish only, you technically can dose antibiotics in the DT. Erythromycin would be my first choice as I have used that countless times in a DT. Kanamycin (Kanaplex) would be second. You could also food soak either antibiotic if he's still eating.

Do you mind if I ask for more pictures of the lion from different angles? There's something odd about his shape in the picture where I've circled it. It almost looks concave above the lateral line and bulging on the lower half.

Yes I'll take more pics. He did eat last night/this morning so his belly is full right now if that plays any part.
