I'm back on!

LRF Chunky is an excellent product. They have really made a point to address some of the issues with frozen prepared food. I get a good vibe from them, so would trust their product. Sometimes it can be a little hard to get, though. That's where the super market comes in. I don't feed prepared foods because I have access to nice fresh fish and I like ot add my own vitamins.

Do you have access to salmon, cod and things like that at the market?

Oh, I thought these were all in here for 6 months. So, the lion is 6 months and the eel and grouper are 1?

I wanted a trigger so bad but everyone I talk to says lions and triggers are not good together

I wouldn't put them together in a 75g. We lost a trigger that got poked accidently by the lion. Our tank was too small.

The lion has been in for six months. Eel has been around for around 3 months. And the grouper about 2 months ish

Do you use your own test kits or do you bring it to the LFS? What test kits are used? What's the nitrate in there?

I have the API reef master test kit that I test the water quality myself with I don't bring it to the pet store

I would try Rods food predator blend. It should be available at most fish shops in the Chicago area.

I agree with @4FordFamily a 75 seem to small for the grouper and that might have an effect on the grouper. The lionfish look like it has ich? if so and @Lionfish Lair is a much better judge that I, I would start using metorplex , vitamin M and seachem focus when feeding to boost the fish immune systems.

I had a panther grouper in a 75 for 4 years before I donated him to a Local seafood restaurant display tank in Mobile Al. He hadn't so much out grown the 75 as it was the size of food source had increased to where it included a lot of the fish I wanted to keep. It was in my beginning years of saltwater. I had him in with a Snowflake moray eel, after a month went by they developed a pecking order for feeding time when feeding them live shrimp. It took a u shape chunk out of the left pectoral fin on the grouper to get it across to the grouper to let the eel eat first then suck up the majority of live seed shrimp that was left. As for the fins they look like they need to be treated for fin rot.

I would stay away from Rod's Predator blend as you have nothing in there to eat the brine or mini pellets. You'll just be adding unnecessary nutrients and it's already housing 3 large preds in a small young environment.

The sand has been there the life of the tank. I added some of that live rock out of one of my reef tanks a couple weeks ago
