Help! My Midas Blenny is in trouble.

Roy, is there any resemblance between the fish-like creature you saw in your tank and these guys:

(not my video) ... they're mysid shrimp, but can often look like small fish.

~Bruce
I guess it could be, but it was much smaller and bright red. Guess it could have been some kind of copod.

I had fish that had on and off white string bowel movements for years never died they got sold and are still doing good.
That why I asked that weird can they live that long with parasites?

Depends on the type of internal parasite - they all cause white stringy poop. I also suspect hardiness of the species comes into play.

For example, I know a lady with a Tomato Clownfish that had tapeworms for 9 years before she decided to treat & clear it up. I scope ID'd the poop.

But I also know a public aquarium with a pair of Blue Star Leopard Wrasses that had white stringy poop but declined to treat. They both died later in the same week that symptoms first showed, and a necropsy showed that Hexamita was present in their gut. No other pathogens were found which could have explained the sudden deaths.

Oh, God don't say this to me now I'm worried.
The clowns I just got had white stringy feces but has gone away and is brown now.
Does it have to be thin too be considered stringy?
And if I do have parasites myself that may explain why my new Bangaii cards are not eating much?

@Sycoticrealm It will look like this:

Internal parasites can cause appetite suppression.

No appetite problems here for the clowns blenny or Hawkfish just my new Bangaii Cards.
It was a think long round tube like feces.
White then brown maybe it was change of diet and maybe bowel irradiation from not being fed correctly before I purchased them?
