I've seen the sea halo on a tank with softies and few lps and they were colorful and seemed happy to the eye. Definitely the better of the 2 you mentioned.
how well the color look? i don't want it to always look overly blue but want that option

Both of those are good lights. Either one would be fine.

do you think the Fluval Sea Halo would be better?
If not, I am just going to buy one of these and try to figure out how to fix it to my tank but make it look nice

I'll swing by my buddies lfs and check it out better and post up a response in a bit. I know when I'm there it's not overly blue but does look nice. I'm not sure how much control there is with it to vary the settings.

Is that for the par38 or the kessil? I honestly am looking at the Fluval Sea Halo the most right now because it seems to be mid-line in terms of price and ability. Obviously I would love a remote or wifi control but I also don't want to dish out over 100 or 120

I would be fine with an effective Par38 light as long as I could find a good, inexpensive, minimal gooseneck mount or lamp stand to put it on!

The halo does seem nice but I don't know much about them. I do know a good bit about the lights you are looking at for a quarter of the price and the corals do grow well underneath them. I'm glad @Brian Kim, brought them up because they didn't even cross my mind.
