Help with Lighting! Newbie

Anyone willing to find me the best bang for my buck Par38 bulb on Amazon? I want one that has a blue tint but not overpowering at all.

That is straight flood light, that's gonna be really bright. I wouldn't recommend you go with that one.

12 watt would be plenty

What I have is a bulb and dimmer, get you a desk lamp and a timer your in business. Even if you don't wish to buy my used bulb it is better to get a legit product that people have experience with.

I can either get the 12W with the gooseneck I want for $88 or the Fluval Sea Halo for $93

It's all up to you at this point, I would go with the par38 being I have some insight on it, I know nothing of the fluval. But if you do stick with soft corals you will be fine either way

I think I'm going with the par38! trying to find a cheaper bulb online but if not ordering it with a gooseneck from Amazon.

I really like almost the black light look that some of the lights give off

I know you may already know this but the par38 doesn't have actinics. I just don't want you to be mad that it doesn't haha

see I was under the impression the blue light have the actinic look somewhat

Oh, what I meant was is there is no direct setting on them for actinic. There will be a blue hint to it but it wont be completely blue
