Help with sump.

I just made my sump but would like input on how to do the drain. The frag tank has an overflow box on the back that has 3 pipes coming out of tank and then down. Only problem is, the middle pipe has to be at an angle since the middle brace is directly in the way. Will it be fine to go down at an angle?

A picture would help but sounds like you will be fine. Could do a BeanAnimal with three drains.

Maybe, try to use 2 45 degree fittings instead of 1 90 fitting. This will help the water travel thru easier.

Do those inlets on the backside of the frag tank need to be slanted?

Looks like a classic BeanAnimal setup. Are the fittings glued? The previous owner may have canted them to adjust the water level. You need to research how a BeanAnimal system works and then experiment. Once you do, I think you will be really happy with it.

No the fittings screw on. Have to silicone them up.

A little bit of Plasto-Joint Stik would be a better choice for plastic threads. You can find it on eBay. It doesn't dry out so you have some adjustability.

I would but I have silicone on hand and needs to be set up today

The pipes come out through the back of the frag tank so there are holes that need to be silicone

There is not an external box?

If it was me and what I said is how it is set up I would go buy bulkheads and attach the plumbing to that instead of siliconing the pipes in the holes
