Hey new here from North Carolina

Hello and welcome to R2R!

I’m in the “other” Carolina

That would be South Carolina. We are Carolina. ;) It's a long story. lol

So another question have other than reccomendations for a well rounded clean up crew, is how do you gauge the proper flow with your power heads. I just got a jaebo 0w-10 and it's on high but I dont think enough.

Got a lot of upper flow but I'm not noticing anything on the bottom. I'm thinking of Addis another powerhead to the opposite side and angle it downwards to achieve that. My wife set up the rock and now she hates it and wants something more natural looking so I guess I will be escaping it this week. Any recommendations on how I should go about creating a natural look. I've looked at alot of the aquascape ideas and cant decide what I like more. Also what should I do with my fish while I'm escaping. I'm thinking of placing him and my 1 good piece of live rock that has feather dusters on it in a bucket with a heater and power head.

Thanks

There's a fantastic article here on the site about aquascaping. I forget the exact name but just search aquascape and it should pop up. Tricks and tips on creating amazing aquascape I believe. I had the "rock wall" look before I read this one night. Read it and sit back and imagine the look you want out of the rock you have. Cant wait to see the rescape!

Thank you. I've read that. Alot of interesting ideas. I'm thinking maybe doing a cove on the right side of my tank and maybe a few smaller caves on the left or maybe just a few smaller pieces of rock on the left. Maybe like a 2 island setup but 1 island making a cove.

Where do you get your fish and live rock from? I will be in Raleigh Wednesday.

Perhaps you can tell me the story sometime as I am still relatively new to “Carolina” and will most likely retire here!

The more you know........!

I do have 1 question. I'm trying to figure out a well rounded clean up crew for my tan. 36gal bow front. I have live sand and live rock. I have some feather dusters and a single mushroom polyp along with a frostbite clown and royal gramma. I do plan on adding 3 maybe 4 more fish tips. And some coral (havent decided on what yet).
But I would like a a good general clean up crew. I'm thinking some snails, maybe a couple crabs, a fire shrimp and a regular cleaner shrimp. Can you or someone point me to some numbers that would work as well as species that would be best. I know alot wait and see and then get what they need for certain issues.

Thank you
Reefcleaners has some good packages. Check them out.

Here is the new aquascape. The royal gramma is hiding but so far everything is going great.

I just need to get some black poster board to put on the back of the tank to hide the cables and all
