Hi all

Howdy from Texas! I would suggest chaeto. The calerupa can do weird stuff on you. If you go to the algae barn, there is some good reading.
There is a debate on the light. I've got a 60w Lowe's grow light . They'll do fine. You can find light from $20 - 300. What ever way you want to fly.
I would run the light opposite of your display tank light.
What do u think about running it 24 hours?

!!! Welcome to R2R, Saurav !!! Don't forget to start you on Build thread to keep the progress of your reef tank. We love to see pictures...
Ahh, when I started I was so excited I never took any pics of the stuff all u wanted to do was see it all put together. I'll take individual pics of everything soon and do a post.

When you say go sexual does that mean it grows out of control?

It can do that in a display, but it reproduces another way as well. Caulerpa for example builds up a reproductive “fluid.” When it is ready, the fluid all releases at once from the plants. It leaves the old plant behind, dead and decaying, and all that fluid goes into your tank. A huge cloudy mess. Keeping it trimmed and in a refuge may help avoid this.

EDIT: I should mention I am not a macroalgae expert, but this is how I understand it.
