How do you calibrate probes on pm-1 module with no display?

No, how do you do that? I restarted only.

Menu--setup--module setup

Then find the pm1 and new eb8 and click update

It only shows what is currently set up eb8 -3 and eb8-4 and DISP8 (I didn't pick the names)

The weird thing is I didn't have 2 eb8s in the beginning I later added the one that says eb8-4 and didn't update it. Apex found it automatically. Wish I didn't loan out my big fat Apex book

Try disconnecting and reconnect the aqua bus cables then reset the apex system.

Done, no luck. I think it has to be the cables. Either the connection between them in the attic (times like this I wish I had a basement) or maybe the socket end. I read on apex forum that it isn't getting a "handshake" or something to do with booting. It has to be getting something though for the lights to flash. Maybe it's the cable itself not being strong enough. But I saw a comment by Terrance (in one of the many that i read) that he said it's just regular A to A 2.0 usb but said don't get one with boosters or repeaters. I have the short a male to a male and 2 25' a male to a female 2.0. The distance I needed was 37'. So I'm thinking about ordering the apex 15-footer from Bulk Reef Supply and replacing to those cables so that I have two instead of three connections and a total of 40 feet.

Spent my entire day and night on this and no more days off until tuesday....

I just ordered a 15' aquabus cable from brs. When it arrives I will connect it to 25' cable I have and get rid of the other 2. I am thinking my usb female end on one of the cables could be the problem. After going in the attic this morning to check the connection it looked damaged. I think due to the way my helper pulled it through the wall (it was new before that). Anyway, once the new cable gets here (Monday or Tuesday) I will attempt this again.

Before I ordered the 15 foot extension I had already previously ordered a seven foot extension cable. Well that cable came today however it was not 7 feet they sent 3' :/. In any case I managed to use it to run the test and I am thrilled to say....

Eb8 shows all outlets in fusion... The ones beginning with 5-1.

I do know how to set these up and rename them, however, I don't know where to look for the pm1 with temp and ph. So if I don't figure this out on my own I'll be back [emoji14]

I found and fixed everything on fusion... but I have a new question but about the original question- the probes;

With my original install of the apex I didn't calibrate the temperature probe. Didn't know how of if you were even supposed to. I tested the probe to my glass floating thermometer and a digital one and it matched. I never thought anymore of it. I did however calibrate the ph probe.

Now that being said; the temperature probe for the 45g on pm1 does not match and is exactly 2 degrees warmer than the digital. This is a brand new probe. I took my digital out of the 45g and put it in the 180 next to the temp probe and it reads exactly the same as the probe in the 180g tank - 76.5*. So that tells me the temp probe for the 45g is high by 2*. Do we calibrate temperature probes, if so how?

edit: The 2 degrees is important in the seahorse tank. It can not go over 73.5* because at 74.0* they are prone to disease and excessive algae growth on them.
I am ready to hook it all up except for the probes so I can't without fixing this 1st.

Yout can calibrate the temp probes too, I don't have my apex in front of me right this second but I believe it's under setup--temp setup and then you can manually put in the temp you want it to read currently and it will go from there.

I have been reading them. I can not find my ph and temp probes, all I can see is pm1 and that is only under setup/modules I can see the phx6 and tmpx6 in fusion but that is as far as that goes... I am actually to the point of aggrevation (and I have the patience of a saint) as I have been spinning my wheels on my only 2 days off and getting nowhere and i also have a ton of other things I needed to have done by tonight... [emoji24] [emoji30] [emoji24]

I had an unexpected gigantic slimer (fills a 5g bucket) given to me that I have to throw a tank together for in a hurry too. But I need the 45g running on the apex so I can use some of the temporary equipment I have in use on it. Ugh [emoji29]
