How do you get your water from A to B?

For water changes I thought I would use a really nice trash can, heavy duty, holds 64 gallons. However it doesn't fit in my front closet (fish closet). And I haven't asked yet, but I'm pretty sure Jenny won't like the barrel placed in a corner somewhere. Anyone have suggestions? Need to be able to hold and transport 45 gallons....

Keep in mind when its full, it's over 300 lbs.
I personally wouldn't move that much weight in the can you posted.

I did today, worked fine. I was hoping to be able to change at least 45 gallons each time.

A 25' 3/4" braided vinyl hose and a Iwaki 40RLT. With this pump's head pressure I can have a hose of almost any length. Takes <5 min to pump 100 gallons back into my system.

Cepex valve, full flow control at end of hose.

With the right pump and a cheap water hose, maybe one for drinking water, you could do it.

Hey any idea where I could get something like this local to me? Shipping is more than the container.

Farm and Fleet or Rural King... do you have either one of those local? Farm and Fleet just had free shipping last month... not sure how often that happens. But a lot of users on here took advantage of that. Here's the link to the ones I have:

This is my water changing station. Look for tanks at farm supply stores like Murdochs, Tractor Trailer Supply etc. Go to a city where it's a farm town and they'll more than likely have something for you. The farm stores in my town had a few of them but no a pair of the ones I was looking for until I went to a farm city, if that makes sense lol

If I decide to do holding containers in my garage, should I do fancy ones from a farm store, or just 2 brute 40 gallons? And to hook up my rodi unit out there, do I just puncture a copper water pipe with a saddle valve, and run the blue line to one of the two bins? (Maybe connect the bins at top, so once one is full it will flow into the other?) what would I do with the waste line? And if I'm not doing automated water changes, do I need to have salt water ready, continuously mixing? Or is that more of a luxury?

You can do brute trash can, I used them for about a year and a half then upgraded. Is your RO/DI unit for the whole house or just fish tank? I went to Home Depot or Lowes and bought enough plastic clear tubing line and ran it from my RO/DI out put to the RO barrel. You could connect the RO barrel to the top of the SW barrel top so that way when the RO barrel is full just pump it to SW barrel. You don't need it continuously mixing. Just turn it on 15-30 min before water change.
