How do you get your water from A to B?

I have 2 brutes in my garage (1 for fresh and 1 for salt). I have them plumbed together and a hose barb as well. I use a pump and 50ft of 3/4" nylon hose to do mine. One pump to remove water, then the pump built into the water change station to pump in the new saltwater.
I'll have to see if I can get some pics when I get home. Yes, it's 50' of tubing, but a full brute can water change takes me 15 mins.

I have a hose coming off the pump that can fill the one Brute. A valve above that to close water returning to the Brutes. Also use this hose to fill my tank after draining the waste water.

Well its like this cant aford ro unit so i drive 18 miles to my reef shop to get water.
Witch is funny because if you think about it by the time i drive there and back and bye the water in less the 6 mounths i would have spent the same amount on a ro unit.

I use a 30 gallon brute on a dolly. Biweekly water change is not that hard. Wish I only have one tank though...

I have a friend about a mile away who sorts out my water for me. I ship it in 25lt barrels and leave them in the front porch 365 days of the year. For a water change of 25lt I use 2 buckets and a piece of hose. I am always amazed how much money and time/effort people spend when sometimes the simplest thing is often the easiest ( and the cheapest )

I have this dolly I got from Harbor Freight. I use two of these old hydroponic 13 gallon reservoirs. I know you're looking to haul more water than that but the dolly is rated for 350 pounds.

A 40 gallon Reservoir should be about 320 pounds. That's eight pounds per gallon times 40.

If water is off from where it needs to be I do a 100 gallon water change on a -300 gallons system.

A well made and easy to use system that makes changes simple is vital to a healthy SPS system.

I store two 55 gallon food grade barrels in a closet in a back bedroom. One fresh and one salt. Both are on heavy duty dollies and can be easily moved around the house, even when full. Both barrels also have pumps inside and water can be pumped to the front of the house with little effort. I use the white RV hoses (Lowe's) that are made to use with potable water.

Do you use that braided nylon hose to stretch to your tank somewhere else in your house? I like this idea... but, the braided nylon hose I was investigating at Home Depot is so stiff...it doesn't seem to me that it would stretch out straight very easily without a lot of heat. Where did you get your hose?

Is your garage heated? I would be concerned about the winter months in Michigan.

Basically heated, water heater and furnace are out there. Never falls below 50 degrees in there.

I got the braided hose from BRS, it's very flexible and doesn't kink easily. Quality hose.
