How do you like your Smart ATO?

I have one and like it. Very easy to setup, kinda plug and play. Only thing is to keep the optic clean so it can read the water level. I usually do that once a week.

Have one for a few months. It's great, very simple and small. One thing i wish it had was a pause or feed mode so when i turn off the return pump to feed i don't have to reset or move the device to keep it from filling while the sump levels out.

+1 that would be nice. No complaints on mine, but that would be an awesome feature to include.

I got mine in yesterday. It starts filling for a couple of seconds and then rapid red light flashing and audible alarm starts. This is supposed to mean bad connection or malfunctioning pump; but its neither. Any suggestions?

Check to be sure nothing is obstructing the sensor/monitor and optic lens. Could be algae or something that needs to be cleaned off the glass. Mine does that when the RODI reservoir gets empty/low, but I'm sure you've checked that probably. Only other thing I can think of is if something is caught on or blocking your pump.

I contacted CoralVue and after trying their suggestions and the unit still failing, they are sending me a replacement pump. I think I would really love this thing if I can get it to work. Wish me luck!

Turns out dry side sensor was bad. Coralvue immediately sent me a replacement and it is working like a charm. I love this thing. It is so small, perfect for limited space situations!

I have an Aquahub Premium top-it-off kit.
$40 plus a large container, plus a cheap small pump. $70 in total. Includes two float switches for redundancy, snail guard, transformer and a relay.

Hey Guys,

I'm using the SMART ATO in a larger scale system. They shipped me just the sensor unit that I am going to hook up to a relay to trigger my topoff system. But they didn't send me a transformer or any information.

Could someone who has one look at the transformer and let me know what the output voltage and amperage is....

Thank you

Dave B

I have one, I love it. Its size and simplicity make it hard to beat. Not to mention the price is pretty good too, comes with everything you need. The audible alarm is great as well, and definitely isn't easily ignored haha. All in all, I love this thing. It was an excellent purchase IMHO.

The one down side about the smart ato is you have to clean the sensor and the area where the sensor is mounted every few days or it will fail. I own the smart ato and didn't clean the sensor for like a week and I noticed one day after work I was missing one to two inches of water in my display tank. I wish I would of went with the tunze brand.

I haven't had to clean mine yet...had it in operation since April.

Same here hasn't been a problem in the several months I've had it

Well maybe the reason I have to clean mine is how I have mine set up. I don't have a sump attached to my 30 rimless. I have a aio so that may make a difference

Ah, OK...probably so.
