Well actually not true. I am forced to keep 2 euphyllias just for my wife . She said - "If nothing's swaying in the water, you cannot have those ugly sticks hoarding electricity". Sometimes, you have to keep spouse happy too !!

led's - what's that ??? I thought there were only 2 Gods of Lighting - The Sun and then there was Radium .. may be T5s that came later as the Demi God of Lighting

Sorry it was just a silly joke .. didn't mean to hurt anyone personally using leds .

Personally I only like LEDs if they're in conjunction with metal halide or T5 but not stand alone. Hybrids going to have some awesome looking corals under those MHs! I still say that they get the best growth and coloration of all the lighting out there.... just wish they weren't so darn hot!!! Lol

Hahaha what can I say, I love these lights. I ran radions early on with this tank and stuff grew but the corals looked like they were missing something. Switched to radiums and I haven't looked back since.

My wife loves my Oregon tort, so that's a win for me. I wanted a sps dominant tank but acans have always drawn me in with the colors and the only monti I like is the beach bum lol.

I am currently running some led on the tank, my reefbrite xho haha! I keep throwing around the idea of adding t5s to the tank again. I have 3 660 ballasts and a workhorse 7 laying around.

I went from t12s to leds only (hated this) to combo t5/leds with the big tanks. I like the combo. Mainly because after all the T5s are out at night I like the moonlight and the moon & cloud phases at night as well as Sun up early in the morning. Otherwise you don't even notice the LEDs during the daytime when the T5s are on

I personally think a combo of all three is the best a little over kill yes and a power consumption monster but I think there isn't a better light for corals it covers every range possible.
