What eats them?

From my research it's the bornella Orange dragon and starry mouth nudi Ben searching for a while just saw avaible on line it sold also called voodoo if u find any info keep me posted

Ohh I wish they did trust me.
There are different families of hydroids.
I have had them all.
The digitate is part of the jelly fish family
Not the hydroids you typically see.
The digitate hydroid is no joke. It is potent and powerful.
If left alone it will spread to numbers unimaginable and sting anything within 4 inches of it.

This is no help, but hydroids just suck. My tank became infested with them, more than 4 different kinds, they started killing corals and taking over their skeletons as more home bases. I ended up setting up another system, put my fish, anemones and some other inverts in there, tore down the display. I am working on re-doing my display with dry rock, probably dry sand. Fish and anemones and shrimp are allowed back, everything else will be sold/given away locally. I now quarantine anything that can house hydroids (crabs, corals, algae, etc.). Silver lining is I get to re-do my display with all the knowledge I have soaked up over the past 3 years.

I by no mean am I trying to b a jerk or anything scritly trying to make my self a better hobbiest. But u just described them u didn't provide prove anything of a nudi not eating them have u bought these nudis I am talking about

I have no issue with people not believing in me.

As I'm have mentioned.. you are in a hard spot and I would never want to contribute to livestock loss.
Full tank treatment.. yes but under strict instruction.

Well, as I said, Im fishless. I have snails, hermits, coral, conchs, starfish and a flame scallop in there.

I had a hyrdoid outbreak a while back, I don't think they were the Digitate one's, they looked like very small jelly fish, if you search my threads you can find a picture. Anyway, one thing that helped was 1) Time (of course), this seems just part of what to expect with tanks, and 2) increasing my flow.

I found a couple of these in my sump last night and came on here to figure out "What the heck is this thing?" (even went so far as charging up the camcorder to take video)
Then I find this thread.

So, nothing eats them, waiting them out isn't effective ie. they won't just "die off", and once they reach plague proportions they'll sting/kill everything within reach. Do I have that right?

So what does one do? I pulled what I saw out of the sump, but if they are in the main tank the likelihood of me seeing them before they get to plague proportions is slim to none! My eyesight just ain't what it used to be.

If you don't see to many use superglue and cover the hole he is is or where ever its attached.

Now if you have hundreds you can do two things.
A - leave them be as I have seen huge beautiful tanks with them (retailers)
B - fenbendazol witch is the ingredient for safeguard 4 found at almost all pet shops (do not just dump the packet in!)

Yes they are stingers they don't kill per say with their sting in one shot over time you may loose stuff. These guys are potent to zoanthids!
