The digitate is part of the jelly fish family
Not the hydroids you typically see.
The digitate hydroid is no joke. It is potent and powerful.
If left alone it will spread to numbers unimaginable and sting anything within 4 inches of it.
As I'm have mentioned.. you are in a hard spot and I would never want to contribute to livestock loss.So what is the consensus? Treat the whole tank?

Full tank treatment.. yes but under strict instruction.
Great advice Todd .If you don't see to many use superglue and cover the hole he is is or where ever its attached.
Now if you have hundreds you can do two things.
A - leave them be as I have seen huge beautiful tanks with them (retailers)
B - fenbendazol witch is the ingredient for safeguard 4 found at almost all pet shops (do not just dump the packet in!)
Yes they are stingers they don't kill per say with their sting in one shot over time you may loose stuff. These guys are potent to zoanthids!
