It's crazy. I was feeding an entire 6oz flat pack of frozen food every month and it was still so clean it would kill sps in 2 weeks. You must have some good bacteria going in there!

What are you dosing with?I'm currently dosing for nitrate also, I need more fish! The 2 I have just don't do it!!! Hopefully I will have 2 more soon!!!
So I'm guessing this isn't something that will happen regularly?I have personally never witnessed any of my flasher wrasses flash. I've owned some for probably a total of 5 years, although currently i do not.
Why do you not recommend it?You gotta take it easy with nitrate dosing. I recommend against it until it's a last resort.
On no you didnt overdose did you!Everything was going pretty good in my tank until I overdosed nitrates. Right now I'm dealing with an algae bloom, but hopefully I can keep it under control and get things leveled out. I'm glad things are going well in your tank since the crash and I hope that never happens again!!!
Lol, I told you I did, but this is for another thread! On no you didnt overdose did you!
Shame shame Rene'!

If having nitrate can be achieved by a more natal l natural way I would go that route. Such as reducing skimming or adding another fish or 3. If I can avoid adding any chemical to my tank I will. Why do you not recommend it?
2ppm is my tanks happy spot.
It depends on the fish and the situation. The fact that it flashed once is a good sign.So I'm guessing this isn't something that will happen regularly?
But this rout also increases po4If having nitrate can be achieved by a more natal l natural way I would go that route. Such as reducing skimming or adding another fish or 3. If I can avoid adding any chemical to my tank I will.
That's why I put a bunch of flashers in there. So far a clown pair, firefish, blue flasher, filamented flasher, royal flasher and a flame wrasse. He's got me a bit concerned at the moment because he's scratching on the rocks now. That's never a good sign....It depends on the fish and the situation. The fact that it flashed once is a good sign.
With other wrasse allegedly it increases your chances. I've just not been so lucky my friend!
What are his tankmates?
