Ich and interceptor

I had a tank that got either Ich or Marine Velvet. Not sure, but fish were dying quick. I had Interceptor so thought it wouldn't hurt anything so attempted it, and what ever parasite was present was gone. Definitely just my experience, and I am not saying it's specifically for that. Or that it will work for everyone. It works on calcium channels of invertebrates so has activity with many different organisms. Just doesn't kill everything.

I thought interceptor was actually a dewormer for dogs but I could be wrong. It's also long been known and readily accepted as red bug treatment for reef tanks and quite reef safe aside from shrimp crabs and pods.
Im using interceptor plus, milbemycin oxime/praziquantel to 6.5mg or 23mg ÷4 to treat red bugs in my 130 gallon mixed reef right now. I spoke to several fish vets in Florida, doctors and marine biologist that said this will work. Ironicly my powder blue tang and hippo tang just got ich. So, I am HOPING that maybe it will kill that too. I shut down the skimmer and phosphate reactor, killed the lights, added an air stone. Tomorrow I will do a 20% water change, and turn everything nack on. Email me if you want to know whether or not this killed the ich. <[email protected]>
