Ich

We don't usually recommend doing FW dips with Tap water. RO/DI is ideal, though tap will work with a dechlorinator in a pinch.
I got some ro/di with a air stone in it rite now and raising the temp of the waterto get it going

If it matters he's swimming normal and breathing is also normal

Well, that's a good thing. I'd still get him and any other fish into QT and treat with either copper or CP. That way it doesn't matter if it's ick or velvet (could be both), both copper and cp treat both of those things. I'd advise you to leave the Display fallow for 76 days to be sure the fish dont get reinfected when they are returned to the display.

So fallow is just leave the fish out of the display for 76 days? So I've never set up a qt what all do I need in order to get one set up?

I agree that's at least ich, if not other ailments as well and you'll want to qt everyone.

How would I go about qting a goby with a pistol shrimp he's not gunna be the easiest to catch

the pistol shrimp stays in the display. goby goes into QT. You can try a fish trap. There are several and easy to find on google.

X2.

I've always torn apart the display and re-aquascaped and made it prettier afterwards. Pain in the butt but I like it more each time I get better.

alrite so i have rock curing in a container next to my tank and i know for me to get all the fish out ill have to take out all the rock so now my question is if i all my live rock in the container with my curing rock *its been curing for about 4 weeks now* for say a hr while i get my fish out and then put it back in will it be a problem for the ones that have coral on it?

so i was reading your write up on treating diseases and you list two types of copper and test kits which one would be the one more recommended? @Humblefish also im reading your write up on setting up a qt and basically all i need is a heater/therometer a power head some pvc for hiding the tank of course and a light?

Depending on medications a air stone. But either way extra oxygen wouldnt hurt. I know tangs dont tollerate cp very well. My question to @melpyr is would formalin be an option?

Light is not needed for fish. A little flow, and temp is all you really need besides the hiding places.
ok so now my other question is when i dose the copper do i do water changes like my normal weekly ones or what?
