Most places when you leave a review edit / review before posting on there website. I believe BRS is another vendor that does the exact same thing. Is LA perfect, nope, but there customer service is. One of the few companies that credit your card if something goes wrong versus give store credit.

BRS screwed me with an order of the Red Sea Alage Management kit. I received a box with all open test reagents and missing the color wheel to test against. When I called them about this, they sent me a replacement that expired in 3 months!

Because of that, I only order from them what I can't get anywhere else. Also, if you need to return something it's completely on you. Whereas Marine Depot will let you use their commercial shipping rates and deduct it from your refund.

I used to prefer BRS until I had a problem. Marine Depot is much more customer friendly, ime.

On the other hand, I wrote a negative review on an AquaMaxx skimmer and they didn't post it. They only posted the positive and mediocre reviews. So MD's reviews are definitely edited.

Every single company does this if you got a legitimate complaint then you could show us your personal experience.
They always refund me when i recieved damaged or dead livestock.
They're no different then your LFS treatment wise and atleast they refund you most LFS do not.
This thread is here to cause drama and it needs to be taken down!

This thread breaks all their rules but since the admins are humans they love to play favorites with people.
The OP even admits he a jerks and purposely tries to P off people.

What you call trolling, I call a lively debate. I honestly had no idea it is supposedly common for sites to edit user reviews. Most of my online purchasing is through tech sites and amazon, and I can honestly say I never saw user reviews there that looked completely fake. Yeah, of course a site is going to have a moderator approve the review before it is posted - But I wouldn't expect them to edit the review. That just crosses a line for me.

I fail to see why this thread constitutes 'trolling', nor why it should be taken down. As I noted earlier, I've two young boys at home and it's important to me that they understand that the Internet is, at the same time, a historically unparalleled source of both truth and untruth. The ability to have the critical thinking necessary to be able to (mostly) distinguish one from t'other is really important. Any discussion of facts, and accuracy ..... and frankly the perspective of others is instructive.

I placed an order with LiveAquaria yesterday for 2 male Blue Star Leopard Wrasse. I called customer service at 4:30 pm to make sure everything was Ok and the order was going to ship. I was told it was. This evening I get a dreaded order delay email from LA. I am so dissapointed because they may not get anymore of these fish for a long time. I wish they would not overbook orders .

First, why wouldn't they get them for awhile? Blue star leopards are readily availabla and their are no foreseeable restrictions in areas where it is from.

Secondly, male leopards don't get along and aggression is way worse between males of the same species.

I see the blue star leopards available all the time through Live Aqauria and these are not the harder ones to get. I would call them to see why the order was delayed and your fish are probably still waiting to be shipped. I had an order and it was delayed due to weather and shipped out 2 days later. They have up to 2 weeks to fill an order unless you cancel it or they do due to supply as per Live Aquaria.
