I have the Hanna Marine Master
I like it because it records all my data in a digital log. I get frustrated because if I navigate away from the app before a countdown ends and forget to go back to the app in time, the result doesn't transfer to the phone and then I can't save any measurements because the phone app missed one... (they are saved on the device but cannot be transfered from the device after the initial measurement is recorded.)
The ammonia test is super precise and accurate with a 14 min wait time...
I like the Nitrate, pH, and alk. Again these are easy to do, but the perk for me is the recording in the app (and I can assign the data to a specific tank!)
The calcium test will be inaccurate unless you clean with grade 2 sterile water. My store RODI has residual impurities because we have large amount of calcium in our water from the limestone-rich ground. Rinsing and doing the test with sterile water is key!
The phosphate test requires a 2 min of gentle shaking. The marine master helpfully has step-by-step instructions but the screen only says "until dissolved". Shaking for 2 min and rinsing with sterile water before and after the phosphate test is the only way to make it work.
Summary: I like the data recording, the app kinda blows because of how easy it is to miss a data point and then the entire session of results, the tests are accurate, but calcium/phosphate requires extra care and special water. Also it cannot test for iodine or copper just fyi.
