I'm gonna venture to say he's a goner. I've kept 3 bta. Only one lasted past 6 months.

I agree that it may be the age of ur tank.

He will release or even begin to look like he is peeling off before he finally dies. My last one began to peel and took 3 days before he finally gave up and fell.

In the past when one of my btas died it had shriveled up to nothing and finally released its foot. As long as it is still holding on strong there may still be a chance for survival. Any other tank inhabitants that could be bothering it?

I have something to admit here: unless your tank is under 12 inches deep the pro light could be why. Had a par meter under mine earlier, sorta regret not going all t5s at this point.

I would think that but the BTA is under the rock and not looking for more light. My new light comes in soon anyway.

Ok the hospital tank is up and running. I bought a 5.5 gallon, put in a heater and an airstone. I'm using my LED from my refugium for now. I transferred them over by taking out the shelf rock they were on instead of trying to get them to release. I added 250 MG of Cipro into the tank. I used about 60% of the tank water they were in and added some fresh seawater from the store. Now it's wait and see.

Make sure to do a wc about -a day after giving medication and repeat the 250mg dosage. The wc will help to remove any toxins the anemone may release.

Ok unfortunately I lost the big green BTA today. That guy moved all around the tank while the rose BTA stayed anchored. If anything I would've thought I would lose her. Today the green covered her up before moving on. So I put the power head on her to clean off his stringy remains. That opened her up a bit. The best news is that I just fed her a small scallop which she appears to be eating. If she keeps that down I have high hopes she can recover.
