Like you're seeing, the slightest in change and they cry out. Some like crystal clear and others like the dirtiest. I'd suggest getting an ATO if you don't already have 1 (reason I've waited on an anemone).

You've had him with this light the whole time huh? I think it's a lot more powerful than what people think, I melted a small zoa frag with mine (oops, wasn't at 100% either, 70% with frag about 5 inches from light, that had been under a quad t5). @scardall mentioned decreasing intensity and luckily you have that feature.

No I haven't. This is actually my third current marine. The first wasn't the pro model. The 2nd was a pro but didn't provide enough coverage so I went up in size. Still not happy. It's just not customizable enough and doesn't provide what a maxspect or hydras can. From what I've found out, the maxspect is comparable to the hydras but far better than the marine pro.

I would take it out and medicate it in a hospital tank with ciprofloxacin. It's worth a shot before saying its a goner. I had a bta that was almost a goner and treated with cipro x7 days. Now it has never looked better and is huge.
Anyone have any input? Will they still be able to keep their grip on the rock if they die? It's now been 3 straight days of a long stringy (waste?) thing coming out of it. If it's for sure going to die I'd rather take it out now before it poisons the tank. I just don't know when to give up on a comeback or pull the plug.

It might be part of the stomach if it is a white waste.. They will fall from the rock when they die (from my experience, but others might have different experiences)

I've had a rbta, a gbta and a long tentacle....the long tentacle didn't make it to long, but I believe it's from eating a rabbit fish which caused it to get cut internally...but when it was dying, it expelled waste but at the same time, it wouldn't hold on to anything at all

In the past when one of my btas died it had shriveled up to nothing and finally released its foot. As long as it is still holding on strong there may still be a chance for survival. Any other tank inhabitants that could be bothering it?
