im really starting to hate this linage thing lol.... his frag looks identical to mine which has linage, but honestly he could say ya it does and who is gonna tell the difference?? linage or not it's a purple monster imo......how many other corals out there look that close???? how many corals out there have linage that people don't even know???

Well, I don't want it if it grows slow. It's not that nice to me. I'd rather have a GARF bonsai. :wink:

If I can sell is as a Tyree PM, it will sell for more, and faster.:xd:

OK..So,, I guess I should clarify everything here.
So, here it goes…

1) yes, i took this piece from Dan's collection in the early morning at 3 am before the trip in Jan I believe , i am not a SPS expert like Dan or you all so i had no idea at the time what it was because he probably has about thousand pieces of sps and its sooooooo tough to keep track of all the name and species,and i forgot to ask Dan and If I did ask him, this piece would not be on this thread. LOL

2) For few months ,Dan has been looking for this piece since then and still could not figured out where it went until i showed him this thread. Man oh man, was I in trouble! . He is going to put up his display tank now so I can never touch any of his pieces again.


3) Sure enough , Dan got ****** that i took a piece from his collection after i showed him this thread. Ok you guys stop laughing !
he was ****** at me because that was the only one piece he had now belongs to Dylan of course his piece did not come with Red bug. Dylan you got to check where they came from because just to make it clear we dont have in our tank.

4) Yes, we got a TYREE PM from a Friend but this is not a PM as far as we know, the piece was brought in from Indo as “Lokani†as stated on the permit . Whether it is or not , we don’t know but it sure looks like one. I did tell Dylan that I don’t know what it was because I forgot to ask Dan and if I did ask him that morning , Dylan would not have that piece right now.

5) i promised Dan i wont touch his collection anymore!

He said “Never Trust your wife when it comes to corals or moneyâ€. hehehehee. When I get mad at him , I sell his pieces !hhahahahha. Am I evil or what?

Well, I felt bad because he is attached to his pieces. Dylan you got to cut me a frag when this piece grows out!!

Well I have had mine for 6 months and it hasn't budged!!!! If that helps lol... I have a 1" frag disc completly incrusted and a branch in the middle about 1/4" tall, and that is how it was the day I got it...

i will ship to you and you can ship that piece back to us ( after you treat it first ! LOL).

Well, there you have it, definitive answer, not the Tyree PM but an Indo "Lokani". I bet it grows faster than a PM . It is a Beautiful piece and I am sure it will like an Interceptor bath. It looks a little less colorful in the most recent picture. Red Bugs love those smooth skinned acros. Now you all got me wanting the infamous Tyree PM with some of your pretty pictures. It is such a painfully slow grower that I decided against it for my short list of acros in my new tank. I may have to re-think it, LOL.

and case is shut, yes it still does look like a purple monster and sure if you want to call it a pm fine, but with out the hands/tanks it has tuched from tyree's i dont think it is fare to call it tyree.

And so little childeren as you close your eyes for sleepy land the moral of the story is that many corals "LOOK" similar as frags, even in growth but for true collectors Liniage IS important...

My PM has been un-godly slow....Encrusted the plug in last year and a half...Im glad I am not the only one!
