Bunch of pictures showing most of the fish. Hippo tang and golden rhomboid wrasse still hide every time I go down the basement stairs. Leopard wrasse still seems less than happy. Gave her some sand, not enough in all honesty but I don’t want the sand to affect my copper too much.

Does anyone have suggestions on the leopard wrasse? Still seems very stressed and I haven't seen her eat since she has been in QT. She's been hidden in the sand practically the whole time since I placed her in QT. I'm thinking worst case we finish the 14 days and then I could transfer her to a clean QT tank and maybe get a piece or two of live rock from another local and see if she will pick pods from there or feel more comfortable with the rock again?

Do you think the wrasse is actually sick or just freaked out about being in QT? And have you tried live food, like live brine shrimp?

This^^^ I keep several species of the macropharyngodon genus. Half of the time it takes live blackworms and or brine to get them eating well. Then they will transition to frozen.

I’m thinking she’s just freaked out, but I still haven’t seen her eat since she went in there about a week ago which is why I’m concerned. She doesn’t look thin but acts very stressed. I have live black and white worms I culture as well as pods. She was eating all foods in the DT prior to getting kicked back to the QT. She had been in the tank for over a year prior to this velvet incident.

Also, can anyone explain to me why it’s 6 weeks fallow time for the DT, but only 30 days in copper for the fish? Can’t wrap my head around it.

Cooper kills the velvet in the swimming stage. But 6 weeks fallow in tank so the velvet will starve without fish.

Oh, that's different. Very stressed out, poor thing! I'm not sure what you can do to make it feel more secure in a QT. Maybe add more sand? It's a tough one. On the other hand, if the fish had been eating robustly previously and you feed your fish well, it probably has good body mass (looks like it in your pic) and therefore should be able to survive fasting for longer than a thin fish just in from the wild. Not sure how long though. Also I'd try some live brine if you can find it locally; you never know, it might work.

Ok. I’ll try to find some live brine. I have a sneaking suspicion that they’re eating when I’m not in the basement watching them. I don’t see anyone eat in the wrasse goby blenny hippo tang tank, but nobody seems to be getting thinner. I also keep seeing the golden rhomboid out when I come downstairs and then disappears when he sees me coming.

I’ve never ran fish through copper before, I’m normally just a prazi and observe for a few weeks. This copper process hasn’t been too bad so far.

Question: how long does it take for the patchy spots to clear up where the cysts were attached to the fish?

That might be a good sign, about the wrasse being out when you're not there. I put a webcam on my QT. It's the best way to see how they're behaving 'normally'.

In an unstressed fish in a healthy DT, small uninfected injuries clear up within a few days. In a QT with medication, probably longer for most fish. Just watch any such spots for signs of secondary bacterial infection (they'll start to look worse, basically.)

I try to sneak down the stairs and peek over the railing to see what theyre doing before they spot me

Everyone’s doing well in QT as far as I can tell. The leopard wrasse is acting less stressed as time passes. Did a water change today of about 15% for the quarantine tanks.

Quarantine update: everything has been going well until this morning. Came home after working a 24 hour shift and find the purple tang with these tuft like things on it. I’ve never seen anything like this. Is it some sort of bacterial infection? Is it some type of fluke? I know my pictures aren’t the greatest. I have furan-2 on hand antibiotic wise. I don’t see anything like this on the other fish in the QT tank with the purple tang.
