jgraz's 90 up grade

Thank you. I liked the rock work more before I started to stock. I am horrible at placing coral and believe it or not I find it hard to find room for things. I've seen your name before. Are you on NJR also.

Horrible discovery last night. I found a approx 7" long crack in the sump. Goes from the return section into the refugium. I'm not exactly sure what's holding it together right now, but I'm thankful that it is. Now I'm in the market for a new one. Of course I happens during frag swap savings season.

Not sure how long it's been there either. I also don't know how long I have till disaster.

Started the new sump today. I'll finish up the baffles tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get things installed by the end of next week.

I had ordered RTV 108 from amazon. Though it would come soon but found out I was gonna be waiting for almost 10 days. Anyway the glass shop I got my baffles at had this, so I got it.

Also since the skimmer section is deeper I needed a stand so here you go.

New sump online. Took forever. But I'm very happy with the outcome. Ultimately it added about 10 more gals to my system. Total volume is right around 29 gals. The refugium is just over 15 gals.

Yellow tang. Currently in my Qt/frag tank. The tank is only 20h so I just keep an eye on him for a couple of weeks so I can get him into the bigger tank.

Just thought I would add a few tank shots since its been a while. I have also been considering starting bio pellets soon. Just have to decide on a reactor. Im currently between the Reef Octopus and the JNS reactors. For the media I'm leaning towards Eco-Bak. Almost everything is doing well. I have added 3 bangaii's about 4 days ago. They were all doing well but today I noticed that 1 got pretty beat up. The right side of the fish looks bad. He is swimming fine but the eye and gill area clearly took a beating. Im pretty sure the culprit is the yellow tang. Only problem is there is no way im getting it out. So hopefully he heals up. I borrowed my Brother in laws camera and figured I could get some nice pics but That thing have too much going on. I think I'll stick with my i-Phone. Anyway here are the tank shots.

The tank is looking great!!! I have heard that sometimes that the cardinals will fight if there are more than 2 in the tank to form a pair. Just a thought.

I thought that too. Weird though is they were in the same QT for a few weeks with no problems. In fact the 2bigger ones seems to have paired away from the one smaller in the QT. once in the 90 they seperated the same way. The reason I suspect the yellow tang is because I actually saw him backing up into the cardinal yesterday. Not sure though. I can say that it doesn't look like he has much time. I just wish I could get him out.

Been a while since I updated so here goes. Santa brought me a reef octopus bio reactor, a pair of BRS dosing pumps and a new set of T5 bulbs. The bulbs are getting switched already but the other have to wait till I build a cabinet for next to the stand where I will house all the equipment. I also purchased a rio HF32 pump to run everthing. Here are some updated shots, all with an iPhone so not the greatest
