triton67, interesting setup. Seems really simple but will be effective. Can you post a pic of the exit plumbing on the brute ATS? Also, how do you determine the flow? I'm very intrigued, and considering making my own diy ATS...just on a smaller scale as my DT is just a 75gal. Thanks!

Look at the start of this post. That's a smaller version. My Dt is a 90 and a 50 gal sump

Exit plumbing is 2 3/4 pvc pipes down into the sump. 1 about an inch from the bottom of the brute. The other above the bottom drain. Just in case bottom one gets clogged

Did you rough the screen up? If not, its supposed to make a HUGE difference if you do.
