Jonas Roman sps-tank

some new pictures. Now very stable dKH;-)...and not too high(8.0)=no algues and no dinoflagellates(according to my personal theory that high alkalinity causes dino, as HCO3 is a carbon source for algue and specially dino(and zoox)).

Very nice Jonas! Stable dKH does pay dividends!
Have you considered the new Philips LED?. They seem to have solved the disco and spread issues that many LED fixtures suffer from.

I have considered Philips but have not bought that....light is difficult:-)

Looks great. Very nice acropora.

I'd be buying the CoralCare today if it was for sale in US. A close second would be the ATI PowerModule hybrid. I just switched to T5's because I didn't the color blending and shadows on my LED's (AI Primes).

Thanks:-)
I at the moment have Pacific sun hybrid, and that is nice but I need a little more power now to get a little boost to the colour:-)

Pacific sun ought to use your tank in their advertisements, your tanks is gorgeous.
I agree;-)...Actually they sponsored me with some T5 tubes a year ago, because I helped them in detecting som of the initial hardware-problems, and was extremely helpful in correcting the issues. Now I think their lamp is of high quality with no hardware (and software) issues. I have had much success with this light. But as you can see I have newly changed light, but most of curiosity, as i think that is an important thing if you will be able to develop the tank.

Very nicely done, looks well balanced and super healthy! Thanks for the FTS, they are hard to take but nice to see.

thank you so much:-) yes, full shot is difficult. The tank is more colorful in real life, it is hard to do it justice with photos..

Are you now using the Mitras fixture? When did you switch from the T5/LED fixture. Has enough time elapsed to reach any conclusions on the relative effects on growth and color between the two different lights?

Yes i am now testing Mitras Lx7. No time enough to do a proper evaluation but think I will quite soon be able to evaluate:-)

New light often mean alterations in alkalinity consumption. After 10 days with My new light the dKH has stabilized. This is the 4 measures since "sunrise".
