hard to see but even the neck is cone shaped.

Did a little playing around with the skimmer. Tested the air draw and its pulling about 1200 lph right now. Not too bad for being new. I am sure after a day of running it will be up to the rated 1300 lph. Any more air and I would have to raise the skimmer. I believe 6 to 8 inches is suggested but the 6 to 7 would be best.

They just hit the states. a couple people have them now. I believe they are on reef specialty's website.

This is kind of a midpoint between the 840 and the 1050a. However it is built like the deluxe models using the double bubble plate design and the partial cone below the cone.

thIs one does use the 1500 motor block, custom volute and a slightly different pinwheel than the 1050. The 1050 pulls about 1800 lph and the elegance pulls about 1300 lph. However this does move a good amount of water and uses the dbl bubble plate design. So we will see how it does. it is running on my 65 gallon at the moment. But will be going on my 125g when I get it set up and going. it will take a month or two before its up and going but It should be a good build.

This morning I adjusted the skimmer up a little. The big difference with this skimmer is the full cone design. Even the neck of the skimmer is part of the cone. More to come

Got mine last week but FedEx dropped the pump box and broke it. Another one in transit.

Mojo: Victor said he was running his at 10" with good results. I think I may try 8" and see how it goes. Your thoughts?

nice skimmer, saving up to upgrade mines as I speak! any input regarding ATB or SWC?

Btw, how many inches of water do you have it running in now?

Victor has the 200 pro up and running. it has the pump internal. Mine has external pump. That could make a difference.

THe ATB is top notch. The Swc has a wide range of products. Some I wold stand behind some are a bit iffy. But if you are refering to the new line like the 230 and 300 model those are pretty good. The big difference is the ATB uses pvc plate that is cnc machined. buble plates, lids anything that is flat. Where as the Swc line is using more injection molded parts to keep the cost down.

I could go on more but want to keep this thread on track for its purpose, and that is to display the atb Elegance 200.

Mojo, do you think this would be a good fit for a 150g well stocked SPS reef?

Thanks Mojo, ATB is looking good to me! just need to put some $$$ on the side!

Yes I do. I think this is a nice skimmer between the 840 and 1050. Jumps up to a askoll pump and deluxe style. I think the perfect range for this skimmer is between 125 and 200 g. this is realistic.

So far so good. Ill get some more pics.

The skimmer is plugging right along. Raised the water level up today inside the skimmer. Ill get you some nog pics soon.
