Just Ridiculous

I’m sorry but this is just ridiculous. I don’t care how much money one has. These prices are just dumb.

Reminds me of beanie babies

If you spend $300?

So you're going to buy 1 or 2 corals and pay $50 shipping instead of 10 corals (some of which sell for close to $100 per frag) for $300 shipped? $300 isn't that much for mail order, especially corals of the quality and size in that pack.

What do you think you are going to spend for quality SPS. Adam has some of the best corals around, and are well worth the money he charges.
These are under MH

$50 - Octo (hard to find)
$25 - Milli
$20 - Digi
Free throw in - Slimeball Anacropora
$20 - Duncan
$20 - Acan

This proves nothing. Adam generally sells very nice and high end SPS. Much of what you just posted are not SPS, nor equal quality named acros. You can't say you got a good deal on a non-name brown milli at $25 compared to the Millis Adam sells.

There are plenty of people deserving of pricing criticism, Adam is not one of them.

I am just saying there are reasonable deals to be had. There are plenty of elitist that will pay $100 frag and I am sure he can capitalize on them. I am not one of those unless I see it front of my face under lights that I can produce and they have uncommon coloration. Hard to tell what something will look like in your own reef tank. Especially when you might have to run lights that hurt your eyes in order to get that pop. My tank sits right next to my TV so I don't prefer running "blacklight" colors that leaves my vision blurry...

Sorry but once again you are misinformed. Adam does not sell corals that only look good under blue lights. He is one of the few vendors out there that sells corals that look great in all lighting conditions and lists corals as they truly look under normal lighting, not actinic.

Here are 3 of the cheapest corals Adam sells in the range of $40-$60 at standard non-battlebox prices for reference. The photos were just taken under my day time lighting which is high white with a cell phone camera and no filter.

Look, Just like any hobby, sometimes you gotta pay to play. Sometimes you don’t. Other times you really don’t have to or want to.

When it comes to acros or sps, the hottest, brightest, multi-colored fire pieces will command more money for obvious reasons, and with the Indo restrictions and supposed Aussie restrictions (rumor), the prices WONT be coming down.

You can pay 10-30-40$ for normal looking frags all day long, and most will look great. So who really cares if someone is willing to pay $100/frag or $10/frag? If you’re happy with how something looks, great. Be happy!

You can be as frugal or baller as you want, it’s worth what someone is willing to pay. To say some vendor’s stock isn’t “worth” this or that is just wrong. It may not be worth it to you, but people spend the money because it’s worth it to them.
