I would not do that even to a damsel. I am doing the fishless cycle . I am on day 12 with a piece of talopia about the size of a quarter. My ammonia is at 2 and nitrite at .25 I know Dr. Tim's or bacteria 7 would help but I am in no hurry so I am going to let nature take its course.
I’m confused. If you’re only 12 days in and want to start up your pumps and add fish to the tank, how would that be any different then adding a Damsel?

If your levels are way off balance to start with then you wouldn't be adding fish.
I was simply referring that a Damsel is a hardy fish and really hard to kill. I was simply providing the best outcome when you said you wanted to start adding fish. I could've taken this the wrong way too.

I would love to know where you get your salt. Instant ocean has always been cheaper than reef crystals and i haven’t seen prices like you quoted for along time.

First off, not being rude.... but if you have to question my post then you really need to do some research.

You guys don't know how to shop.... Not being rude either. Just being 100% completely honest.
Amazon literally had them three months ago for $32 something. Walmart had them for $35.
Here's what I purchased on 10/25/2020.
That discount codes can be found everywhere.

The Wal-Mart one was purchased last November.

With providing this, please don't take this as I'm being a $%&^. I'm just trying to explain how you can smart shop.

I used to coupon and go to grocery stores and make them pay me. Legally in VA they can't give you money for shopping, so I simply bought Candy with the few dollars they had to pay me, the good candy too, the white chocolate kind.. My wife can back this too.

My latest purchase is a Ecotech Battery Backup(which is largely out of stock everywhere).
Not only did I get 10% off this one, but I didn't have to pay taxes too. The price I paid was basically for a used one but I purchased a brand new one.
