So Ive had issues from the beginning with running a T off my return line and feeding my carx... I get it all tuned up and it lasts 24 hrs and gets all jacked up. I bought the kamoer and was wondering how everyone set it up... Im going to pull the water into the carx, but not sure how you connect everything using the tubing that comes with the pump... Im using a korallin c1502... the tubing just doesnt look like its gonna work... can anyone please stear me in the correct direction? Was gonna start on it tonight, but I dont want to get too far into this project not knowing which pieces Im gona need to properly install this...
 
Well I got it hooked up, but I have it hooked up where it’s pushing water through the reactor... not exactly what I wanted to do... how do you setup the pulling through the reactor?
 
Put the effluent in for the calcium reactor tubing into the sump for the input. The effluent out of the reactor feeds the input of the Kamoer. The output of the Kamoer pumps into the return section, or downstream of where you’re drawing the effluent in from. JP

That can be done on a korallin carx the way its setup?
 
I’m not familiar with that reactor, I have a Geo. Maybe someone with that reactor can chime in. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll get it dialed in. JP
 
I give up... I swear... I cannot get this thing to work properly... I paid all this money to make this reactor as easy as possible to dial in and its just not happening... the carbondoser will not do the right bubble count... i have air bubbles in the kamoer line... Everything I do is wrong... Im ready to just throw this thing out the window
 
Ive tried everything... even new check valve... im letting the kamoer pump right now on full to get all the air bubbles out and co2 shut off
 
Help !!!!! Hahaha.. anyone have all this hooked up on s korallin reactor???
 
I haven't done it but I thought the pump pulls water from the effluent line and puts it into the tank. Then the reactor just sucks water through it. So the input line on the reactor would just need to be submerged in water
 
Take a deep breath.

Kill the CO2 for now. Set it up in pull configuration and let it run for a few days so you can pull all the air out of the reactor. Be sure the pull line from the sump to the input of the reactor is pulling from a bubble free area in your sump. If after a few days, the bubbles remain (again, while the CO2 is off) then you may have to check for leaks in the fittings of your reactor. If that’s the case use Teflon paste or Plasto Joint Stik on all the threaded fittings on your reactor to ensure that it’s airtight.

If you are able to eliminate the bubbles after doing the above, then go ahead and turn on the CO2 and slowly make adjustments moving forward.

Perhaps @jda could chime in. He has extensive experience and wisdom with calcium reactors and I believe he actually runs a Korallin CaRx. He has helped quite a number of reefers with their CaRx woes.
 
Not sure how I would set this type of korallin reactor up with the pull method
 
I ran the reactor at 120ml all night with no co2... there are no bubbles...

The connector labeled inlet, connect a line going into a bubble free area of the sump. The connection marked outlet, connect a line going into the suction side of the Kamoer. The outlet side of the Kamoer is your effluent drip line.
 
I have a push connect fitting on the outlet... I give up... I just shut it all own... im over it
 
Use RO tubing then, makes it easier, the push connect fittings are definitely an upgrade over the pictured compression fittings. That picture I posted is probably old. Again, take a deep breath, it’s not that complicated. We’re here to help. :)
 
What are the tubing connections to the Kamoer, size and what type of tubing are you currently using? Can you post a picture of the pumphead, and tubing connections? I’m not familiar with the Kamoer, so I’m troubleshooting blind here. I really think we just need to get the proper adapters to make whatever tubing we’re using work.
