One thing I would say though, is it might be worth getting a new doser, because the valves tend to wear, so if your friends is an old one, it might need new valves. The Jaebo Doser is only cheap and it's worth spending the cash, so you can sleep at night [emoji23] Think mine was about £60

Didn't get as far as I would have liked on the equipment cabinet. The blade on the table saw is shot. Got the cabinet itself finished just need to make an insert where the wires will come through and power strips will be mounted.
Also need to find a better spot for the ATO container so the cabinet can butt right up to the tank stand. Excuse the mess I was painting my front door as well.

Kevin, always like seeing the projects that create sawdust! Looks great. It actually has lit a spark in me to consider my equipment cabinet....on the to-do list for over three years.
As far as the ATO reservoir, how about a three sided, 1/4 ply cover that simply slides off. A thin cleat (wood strip) along the stand and/or equipment cabinet will help hold it up.
Now if you want to butt the equipment cabinet to the side of the stand, how would it look if the reservoir is behind the equipment cabinet....and covered?

Thanks Paul! This has Been on the to-do list for a long time. Now that the tank is in the living room in the new house I really want to cleanup the rats nest of wires. I like the idea for the ato. Looks like your sands getting pretty again 
. I've been fighting it also a little lately but slowly getting the upper hand on it. Been slacking on pictures of ours because of it lol. I think you do a great job with pics using your iPhone. Looks like the filter used is perfect for the lighting. Mari and Justin at avast marine took care of me for Christmas. Only thing I wanted was a porthole for pics and Justin dug up a grey model one for us at a great Christmas discount seeing it's the older model. So I've gotta get going on pictures soon again lol. Have a Merry Christmas and blessed time with family and friends this holiday.

Thank you Steve! It's up and down at the moment. Also why I'm slacking a bit on pictures I think it's a source water issue. It's the only thing I can think of after eliminating everything else. Can't wait to see some pictures with the port hole, they make a world of difference. One of these days I'll give in and get a real camera. The move could have been a part of your bloom also. I think moving a few things in ours caused ours but it's part of trying to find the sweet spot for everyone to be happy on the reef lol. Had few lps go from growing n happy to really ticked off so was trying to get everyone happy with a little rearranging and bam had a bloom on part of sandbed. But everyone is looking happier again so now just getting it cleared up and looking pretty again.
