Led hard choice! Help!

I LOVED the kessil but I probably would've needed two which made it a bit too pricey for my blood. Had I $800 laying around I'd've gone with the kessil without a thought. Awesome company and wicked good light! I'll post when I receive the Razor. Thanks!

Sandy reclaimed your reef? What a nightmare! My father lost his to a hurricane as well. A 20yr old 500g reef turned into a milky white soup. Brutal.

Nice. I hope you really like the Razor. Seems like an awesome unit, and gets good reviews.

im in the same boat. been trying to decide which LED to go with but it is a very difficult choice. Especially, since there really arent any set up locally to "check out". So, I just decided to order them all. :) ill have a radion G2, 16k razor 27", 16k razor 20", Kessil A350w. Hopefully all will be here within a week. Been thinking that I need to add an AI vega in there too!!!

Then maybe, I can be productive and do a side by side on my 48x24x24(120G). Each light over a 2x2. But, it would be anecdotal at best. Everyones experience is just a bit different....choose what works for you!

That is one pricey shipment!! I'll be very curious to hear what you think. I've only had experience with kessil and have a tough time imagining a better experience. Like I said could I afford it I'd go with two A350s. However I believe the razor is a very good compromise! I love the idea of controlling my light via web browser but beyond the novelty I'm not sure I'd ever use it... but still cool. Radion looks very nice and the pro even better for a good light just couldn't rationalize the xtra cash. From many hours of reading posts/reviews the radion/kessil a350/maxspect seem to be the top of the heap.

I've been doing very similar research over the past few months. It was between Kessil, Radions, and the Razor...

The only negatives I've read about the Kessil have to do with lack of controllability. Some complained it was too dim, but I think that was more of an adjustment to LEDs than anything Kessil-specific. Some say the Razor is a bit on the purple side. Good luck either way. You won't have a bad choice either way you go.

I received my maxspect razor. For those interested I had been seeking a photo like this one I took FYI. It was taken with my iPhone. Shows the contrast of the LED vs a 250w halide. The contrast is striking to say the least. My iPhone doesn't do it justice. It should be said the the razor isn't suspended, simply sitting on the tank.

I've got a propensity for second guessing my decisions so it's saying something when I say I couldn't be happier with my choice. Beautiful fixture and CRAZY Powerful!!

A LFS just opened here in Birmingham and they stick the radion and have a tank light with them.... in a money no object situation I'd still go with the Razor.
