that’s what I use to. I think I’ve had the Same one for a long time now with no failures. Years and years of reliable service.
Also have a Tunze osmolator. I’ve had it for years with no issues! I’ve used it on a 10 gallon AIO and now a 60 gallon. The metering pump failed me a bit early, but I got a second one and it has been flawless. The pumps are only about $30, so I keep a spare on hand.

I started in the mid 90’s and had my tanks for 16 years. Was out of the hobby for 10 years before jumping back in last year. Pretty much still running my tank the way I did 26 years ago. No sump, I am the ato and I manually feed. I don’t dose, weekly 12.5 % water changes take care of that. The only high tech is my led’s and wave maker ( used to just have a return pump and power head).

Love the coral variety in your tank!

Not so pretty but just tested my parameters and they surprisingly are all good as well as all tank inhabitants. Very basic little automation. Ato and temp controller is it. Dose nopox phosphate and sunnyx water clarification with mb7.

You got me beat! This is reality tho vs instagram…

I did take my new Tunze care scraper I bought on Black Friday out of the package today and get the blade on. That is as far as I got tho.

Yours isn’t even that bad lol we all get busy. It’s amazing how fast it gets bad though especially coralline is my main problem just get lazy and don’t like scraping it off daily then it just accumulates.

Nah… my snails seem to do work. You can see brown patch but to the right of it is all eaten away by snails… just little spots they missed. Must have gotten full and took a break.

Coralline was way bad but I stopped filing the dosing container after I traded in the SPS lol

I will do a water change (gasp) and scrape it before the holidays tho. If I am feeling frisky, I will test the alk and fill the dosers back up or maybe just put some kalk in the ATO

You had me prepped for much worse, that's not too bad. Hey, it's a busy time of year! If it were not for my magnet cleaner my tank would look like that too, and probably worse!!!

Sad thing is I have a flipper max and still let mine get that bad

Some great looking low tech tanks! Where's all the sps?
I think there’s a correlation between low tech tanks being geared towards easier less picky corals. I just don’t really care for sps because I like movement. I only do soft corals now because I’m too busy to really put in the effort needed for anything that needs dosing regularly.

This.. I got rid of my SPS and most LPS when I got pregnant. I didn’t want to make that post… “new baby on the way, breaking down my tank” for sale post. Can just ignore the soft corals and the baby loves looking at it anywho!
