The freckled hawkfish doesn’t have the white band in its forehead. Melanurus, yes? This wrasse is large 3.5 inches, larger than many full color Terminal Melanurus male. TIA
When will he loose his baby spots. I am anxiously await for him to turn full terminal male.

Here she was when I first got her less than a year ago. Less than 2 inches. Thanks again

Yes, that's melanurus. And it will probably go terminal male "in time".

There's no way to put a number on it.

That's cf cyanopleura (sometimes called cf solorensis).

Thank you buddy, in other words it's a mongrel that could be bits of both Haha. Cross breeding wrasses, have they no consideration for us fish keepers?

I narrow it down to the Pacific, not Indian Ocean or Africa Coast.
