There is that I suppose. With all the time we spend bleaching, cooking, acid washing that time could be spent quaranting, cleaning, and inspecting live rock. I have heard horror stories like everyone else, but I would think they are the exception. And even starting sterile, you all end up introducing some type of undesirables to your tanks anyways. Think of all those beautiful piles of live rock dumped off the gulf coast not being used!
