We are dealing with living creatures and sometimes stuff happens that is out of anyone's control even with the best of care/intentions.

I didn't think it was that hard. Anonymous OP makes some vague complaint, but doesn't "name names". A simple click of post history shows most of their activity centers around Unique Corals live sale thread. 1+1 probably equals 2.A lot of defensive posturing based on speculation. I read this thread and don't know how you guys are putting the puzzle pieces together. Why can't you guys stop talking in code and lay all your cards on the table?
I'm calling complete crap on this thread!
Op says hes participated in many live sales over the last 2 years, yet he/she only became a member in January of this year? Thats 4 months here, not 2 years for those of you that are not good with math.
And the vendor was @uniquecorals , with who I have done many live sales with(this past weekend was one and my corals came in 100% as pictured), and my corals always arrive alive and well packed. This is the one vendor I have never had issue with. I'm certainly not saying people can't have issues, but UC is very reputable, and if this was taken up with them, I'm sure they would make it right.
OP if your going to call out a vendor, at least man up and name the vendor.
Also if the Red Sea thread about a broken sump got moved to vendor feedback, this thread should probably be moved there too.
They are an hour away and we our on a shelter in place, so they probably wouldn't open the doors anyways.OP should drive over and ask them.
Unless OP has something to hide.
This is why I will never get coral sent to me through the mailI am curious how many of you have bought a nice coral at a live sale and when it was time to ship that coral you get a It's DEAD email?
The reason that I am asking is this has happen to me on multiple occasions now from the same vendor and I have participated in many Live Sales over the Past 2 years here and it's the same vendor every time. I have not had this happen with any other vendor so I am curious if this has happened on multiple occasions to anyone else?

I struggle with buying coral online... id rather see what im 100% going to get and not drowned out in blue lights. Why i love going to RAP or my local fish stores to get coral.
that was always a purple torch you bought. the UC pic is just under brighter white lights. still not right to get damaged coral howeverI had an issue with a couple orders from Unique Corals sale. The first order was terrible, long story but it took 1 month of back and forth emails to get my refund. This most recent order I had two damaged corals. On digi arrived shattered into 6 pieces and one torch arrived with a chunk broken off of it and it wasn’t the same color as represented in the picture.
I’ll post a pic. Tell me these torch’s aren’t different colors? I paid $150 for this dark purple torch. It was supposed to be light pink/violet/orange/reddish like the one represented. I emailed them days ago, called...still no straight answer...just a 10% credit??
First pic is what was posted online, second one is what I got. the third pic is the damaged portion of the torch. Fourth pic is the shattered digi.

Digi's break if a fish looks at it the wrong way. You have a live viable coral, one you can glue on a rock in a couple separate spots near eachother and will very soon make one colony. The torch is alive and healthy looking, with minor damage to the skeleton that doesn't seem to be bothering it. How in the world do you think you're entitled to a full refund for either? You try returning them? I expect not.sorry if I get a torch with a chunk missing out if it and a shattered digi when I’m spending almost $1k in corals. I would like a refund on those two items. A full refund.
