As some of you might know I recently lost my Achilles tang. I am now looking for a fish to replace his spot. It needs to be reef safe, large (max size above 8"), under $150, and not another an ancanthurus tang.

Please do not be afraid to give suggestions! [emoji2]

What all do you currently have in that tank?

10 fish total

Purple Tang
Vrolick's Wrasse
Flame angel
Coral Beauty angel
Pair of clarkii clownfish
Four stripe damsel
Falco hawkfish
2 pajama Cardinalfish

An aussie harlequin tusk would be great. 3 to 5 aquatics on here was selling one for 179. Great beautiful fish. Can eat some of the cuc though

You could roll the dice with many full size Angels, emperor, queen, blue face, etc, all under $100 typically

A chevron tang (ctenochaetus hawaiiensis) would be sweet too, that's above $150 though usually. A blonde naso (naso elegans) could be a nice, large specimen, they are only $65 for a 2.25-4.25 inch one right now on live aquaria

Personally, i love schooling bannerfish as well, the Heniochus diphreutes are reef safe and get to 8.5 inches. One or a school are awesome in my book. They are well under your $150 limit as well, sorry for the triple post, I got excited haha

No problem! The more the merrier!

I would love a Naso but my tank is only 4ft long[emoji20]
Chevron is to expensive
I have already tried two banner fish and lost them both bit kind of considering another
A large angel is also a consideration

Following, as I am starting to stock my 220 so some of these I am thinking of putting in my tank.

Why did you lose the banners? Also good call on the naso, stupid me didn't realize we were talking 4 ft tank here, I always forget 120 isn't 6ft like a 125. Plenty of large angels that are showpiece quality, just depends if you keep it fed well so it doesn't eat your corals!

Lamarck's angel. I have one in my 120. planktavore so completely reef safe.

One was very fragile and could not take the aggression my purple tang dealt him, the other got ick and died[emoji20]
