So I've been told the going rate for a 1" frag of the Looney Tunes Stylo is $6,000. I may be wrong and if I am please correct me, but does that seem high??? Would anyone pay $6,000 for a 1" frag?

And if not is there any frag you would pay $6,000 for ???

Im sure someone would pay, but ive never heard that high. The highest ive heard is 1500 for a frag that size.

6k? That thing must have diamonds all around it. Lol....can I ask who was asking 6k? Sounds like a crooks to me...

Anyone paying that is a sucker. I only collect high end coral and don't mind ponying up for.something I just have to have but nothing is worth 6000 per inch unless is attached to your body-lol. That's out of control

Wont say any names because I'm not out to make anyone look bad. Just was being told idk what I'm talking about because I thought it wasn't worth that much and want to make sure I'm not the only one that doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Sounds to me like who ever is selling doesn't really want to sell but will for the right price. In this case that price is $6K. I don't know of any large colonies of this so I'm guessing the person ideally wants to grow it out to sell frags down the line, but again won't say no to $6K. Hope that makes sense. The last piece I saw sold was $1500 and only a very limited number of people have it and even less have a piece sizable enough to Frag.

This is just hilarious! The original poster wanted to buy a frag from me but did not agree on the value of this piece so he said you mean to tell me a 1 inch piece would be worth 4K?! I said no a fully encrusted 1 inch piece would be worth 6k assuming you are fragging it. So let's get everything straight! I don't have a 1 inch piece and was using that as an example of the value and rarity of this piece You are all arguing over a hypothetical coral that does not exist and was never offered for sale!!!!

Ive seen the pics of the frags ben is talking about, he just posted on a LT thread somewhere around here. He also said he was growing them out in the same post. He is a VERY reasonable vendor and goes to great lengths to satisfy his customers. Instead of hinting around about something, you should have put an address on it and posted in vendor feedback. Even if he wanted to sell it for 6k (which i know isnt true) who cares dont pay it.

Look a 1/4" inch frag is about $1200. So multiply by 4 for a 1" piece. That would be a fresh frag. So a fully encrusted healthy 1" frag is probably around 6k.

WWC sells about a 1/4" for 1200, I know cause I have one. And they are super slow growers. Not like a WD where there's a frag every week and still $500

Dude Ben is awsome I back Ben up I got mine from him and understand what he's saying I mean honestly there are none for sale only seen three for sale so right now I think if u get one u r getting really lucky very rare right now

Since the post started nameless I did not know it was Ben. I bought from Ben before as well as his corals are solid and he a solid guy. I probably should of kept the name calling out of the mix and just staTed my opinion as to the price-my bad. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, I'm a nice guy. Sorry to ben
