Started working on a hybrid light yesterday. 2 T5s , 2 kessils, 3 apex lunar leds. I like the way it turned out so far.

Great job with... well everything! I really like the rock work, looks awesome! I'm curious how those spin streams will hold up with some good flow coming through them. Looking forward to following along! Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I filled the system with fresh water and ran it for 2 days to make sure there was no leaks, and the spinners worked awesome for NOW!!Lol, they are kind of loud though.

I just have to ask why did you chose an acrylic tank? Don't get me wrong I love acrylic! I built thousands of tanks in a 30 year period. But it seems to go against the grain now days and I just wanted to hear your reasons.

Nice job by the way.

Easy to drill, 1/2 the weight of glass, scratches can be repaired, better insulated, higher clarity,, and the price was right!!

That noise will go away, I run one on my nano and it will pass in time.

Have not had much time to work on the build lately, progress has been slow. Got all my apex stuff mounted and wired up. Just need to run a network cable from my router, hook up my leak detectors, and my ATO.

Had to build a little platform to raise my skimmer up about an inch

The reason for going with 2 sumps is because there was no way of fitting any decent sized skimmer in the ecosystems sump.

the barrel on the left is for waste water. There are no drains in the area so I installed a sump pump and float switch in the barrel, that pumps it over to a drain.all of the RO reject goes in there, and one of the overflow pipes is teed off with a valve and piped into there for water change purposes.

The barrel on the right is for mixing. It has a circulating loop from which it can feed the display tank or the sump
