It aerates just like a skimmer. It aerates the water with whatever air is sent into it. If that air is high in CO2, it may lower pH. If that air is low in CO2 it may raise pH.

Excellent! I have a few places in my system with overflows that I can feed better air to. Already do the micro bubbles at night and it has certainly registered in my ORP readings. Yet another little project on the list. Thanks.
