Lps Disaster

Milwaukee refractometer and i use red sea' s salt.
I almost lost all my corals cause of one of those stupid hydrometers with the swinging arm , my salinity was waaayy too high but I figured it out when I bought another one of those stupid hydrometers with the swinging arm. I now rinse them really good and take two readings until I eventually purchase a refractometer.

Did another water change and rearrange my rock... I took the hammer and frog island and made my sis rock a center piece

I would dose once a month a few drops but now since I have done a 70% yesterday and 50% today my parameters should be stable again..... I haven't check them today

that would not work for dosing alkalinity unless you were doing water changes at least 10% once every 2-3days in a tank that small with that much LPS.

I would do water changes once every two weeks only cause my tank seem to be matured and my corals were thriving I only added elements to keep my corals and inverts supplemented

I agree that stray voltage is a real possibility.
I see no cuts or hard bends on the wires and i haven't had any power outage the only living thing besides my zoas... is just my damsel.. hermits, snails, and my other fish died with my lps

Alk swing bro, that's a good chuck of Skelton coral that needs a healthy amount of alk to not only grow but survive, for this matter

Try not running biopellets or at least take half of them out to see if you can get your po4 and no3 up to a detectable level. If you had an ALK swing probably didnt help starving corals either. How often you check ALK?

Without testing for Alk, Ca and Mg, doing water changes every few weeks and "dosing" a few drops once a month, my guess is you're not properly maintaining calcium and alkalinity. Thus, your LPS are depleting the essential elements in the tank and since they aren't being maintained, they're dying. When you say Alk and Ca are perfect, we need to know your numbers. Experienced reefers know the numbers of the big 3 (Alk, Ca & Mg) in their sleep, as maintaining their stability are the cornerstone of keeping a successful reef.

For softies, the big 3 aren't nearly as vital as they have no calcereous skeleton to maintain, hence your zoas are still alive.

Also, looking at your FTS, I didn't see any powerheads in there. What are you using for flow?
