M&T's Shallow Rimless Nano Reef

Looks really great! I like your wall color! :D

Thanks Mallorie! That paint color is called Canyon Sun and I love it. It looks a teeny bit more "vibrant" in the pics than in real person. The new shades have more red in them and are not quite so vibrant in person either, LOL. Now if I can just be patient while waiting for the counter top... I am feeling so far behind everyone else, lol.

Really beautiful stand M&T, can't wait to see the tank sitting on it.

Thank you, Brett! The granite guy should be here any minute to do the measurements and template. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long for the installation. Patience is definitely not one of my virtues, lol!

Woot! The new granite counter top will be installed TOMORROW! :whoo:

Our architect neighbor suggested that we change the orientation of the new bar/stand to sit at a diagonal and shifted over to the left. We decided to try it for a couple of days to make sure we would be happy with it before the counter top is installed. We love it as it opens up the space a lot. Here's a quick pic:

The matching top down/bottom up shade for the window should be here sometime this week to finish things off.

And lastly, UPS dropped off a few more new toys today:

Wow m&t! You guys are bringing some serious heat! You will be tough to beat!

Hahah... we're just playing along for fun and are not contestants. Terry has been wanting to setup a nano for a while and we figured this would be the perfect opportunity to make it happen.

I seriously look forward to every one of your updates!

BTW love the laptop shot!

Thanks, Rev! I was wondering if anyone would notice that screen shot, lol.

This is one heck of a setup.

Thank you! Minus the delays, we're pleased with it so far. Hoping to get water in soon.

Looks great Mike and Terry, and nice toys to have delievered. Look foward to seeing this tank getting wet hopefully in the very near future ;)

Sweet! Hopefully I will have money some day and will be able to post glorious pictures of tank toys like you guys do. :D

Thank you Barb!

Thank you Mallorie... You will. We still remember the Ramen Noodle college days. We were out of school when we setup our first saltwater tank in the mid-80's. It was a 29 gallon with an under gravel filter, bleached white coral skeletons and an evil damsel we named Stripe, LOL!

Small Update:
The granite guys just finished installing the bar top and it looks awesome!

I had my Ramen Noddle day as well :) can't beat that for budget.
Your stand/coutertop look amazing. Is this where you putting the tank or it will be moved?

Thank you! Yes, the stand will stay where it is at. We sat the tank on it tonight and snapped a couple more pics.

The plumbing parts that came with the tank are less than desirable, lol. Thankfully, Mike keeps a nice assortment of bulkheads, pvc and spaflex on hand, so we should have everything we need. Now to block out some free time to work on it...

Time to shop for some bar stools...

We had chipped beef instead of noodles! :D

Awesome M&T!!

Got water? :whoo:

Sorry for the poor pics, but the water is still a bit cloudy from adding the new black sand. Gotta say we had forgotten how much rinsing is required for Carib Sea sand, LOL. Tropic Eden Reef Flakes have spoiled us for sure.

There is still quite a bit to do, but we're slowly getting there.
