Yeah the 4 bulb T5 w/ Reefbrite isnt cutting it. I was able to get 100 par on sand but thats with the fixture about 6” off the water. Too low for my liking. It’ll be much better in the 40B im piecing together.

This Orphek should be great on a 3 foot tank if i use the numbers BRS showed on a 4 footer. Itll also allow me to transision the Reefer to SPS dominant!

Ill send you some seneye Par numbers on the new fixture as i know you like to track em.

Nice light. Make sure you post up those PAR numbers and more importantly, pictures of the light hung over that reefer. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the 24" Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid tomorrow... early black Friday sale at the LFS. I can't turn down 16% off.

These pre-black friday sales are killing me! Buy it today at 15% and then see it “Black Friday” 25% off. Wish the Black Friday sales were actually Friday so we at least knew that was the best deal. Just pick a day already!!!! Rant over.

Nice build! Where did you get that acrylic stand for your doser? All I have seen is shelves and I hesitate to trust Velcro or drill the reefer stand..

Thanks for checking out the build! I found it on Ebay. It was actually a jewelry or makeup display. Something like these below however thats not the one i got. Ebay history only goes back 6 months and i cant find the exact one now of course.

OK, So big day today. Been on tank work on/off since about 8am. Got the Orphek hung. Not without a trip to the hardware store of course. I had been hoping I’d be able to simply re-use the hanging kit from the ATI fixture but It wasn’t gonna work. Wound up grabbing pieces from the Lamp repair section of hardware and came up with these as hangers.

Then I spent a few hours playing with color settings, intensity adjustments, height adjustments and so forth. Wound up at a lucky 13” over the water. Any higher and the spill was just too much for my liking.

Been watching the colors change and snapping pics as the ramp schedule progresses. For some reason I know the pics are going to Be out of order but whatever.

Its gonna need some tweaking as its a little too purple for my taste near the end of the schedule. However im liking the color pop quite a lot and I’m seeing colors I wasn’t before.

I also cut out and tossed about 50 frags worth of Xenia. If I had only done it sooner these guys might not be half dead.

Once I get the color temp and schedule dialed in I’ll get some par numbers. I broke out the Senye to make sure I wasn’t overdoing it but ran out steam as far as playing in the water for today.
