One of my two gold stripes. Can confirm she is fueled by anger and hate, notice the evil looks I get just for getting close to HER tank!

HAHAHH! Those eyes! My maroon never tried to bite me until I put nem's in the tank...now if I get my hand to close, BAMN!

I have a mated pair that are 9+ years old living in anemone(s) that are the same. They can be aggressive at the smallest of things. My female literally raises a sandstorm in the tank when something like an addition or moving a rock, she fans the sand dang near to the bottom glass. Will get pics tomorrow, currently "lights out"

As promised, I tried getting a better shot but they're camera shy. Female on right male on left. Female is about 4 1/2" long, male 3". They bury themselves in-between my 5 nems. Excuse the tank it's maintenance weekend coming up. Note: large hole up front in sand is where female throws a fit when anything even so minutely changes.

I only had a single one, not a pair but it was the most aggressive fish I have ever had. It was about 2-3 inches in size so I don't know because of the size had anything to do with it either. Also don't know if not having a mate had anything to do with its behavior but returned him after several months after terrorizing the rest of the tankmates.

Same thing here. Most aggro fish ever. Bit anything that went in tank. Bullied big tang and angelfish. Also loved to re arrange everything an loved to kick up sand storms.

i have 2 lightening maroon clowns and they get along well surprisingly. However, one clown is such a bully. he chased my sailfin tang all the time and had him jump out of the water eventually

Clowns can be Very territorial

I have a pair, the female maroon is an absolute monster towards my lawnmower blenny, i mean 5 inches of pure brutality. Love my maroons tho, best looking clowns
