Michigan reefers?

So many options.. and it's just the bottom rack. Let's see what we can put together..

Gotta love preuss

There's a few michigan Facebook groups. There are frag swaps every now and then. Michigan reefer classifieds, saltwater classifieds, and reef fanatics.

Post those Michigan displays
I just realized that my Build Thread bage is missing. I wonder where it went.
I don't have much of a display at the moment. I just restarted after moving and upgrading to a bigger tank. Here it is. I'll get a new FTS tonight.

It's larger than my display. Looks like a fantastic start.

Thanks. I wanted lots of room for upward growth and still maintain swimming space. Plus the tank is pretty shallow too.

Here's mine. Difficult to keep going during nursing school. Apex has saved what's left of my sanity

Mine disappeared when I got the midwest reefer badge. You have to go back in afterwards and relink the build to your account, at least I did.

I totally get that. My wife is doing all the maintenance on my tanks while I'm here in St Kitts for veterinary school. Thankfully she loves the hobby as much as I do, so they are continuing to thrive.

And she even puts up with me ordering stuff online and telling her "hey, I have a bunch of fish and corals coming this day, please make sure you're home to unpack and acclimate them."

So I have a bunch of "extra" plumbing stuff from my new build. If anyone can actually use it I will gladly donate it to you. Let me know what you need/want. GR area unless we make arrangements.

I was wondering about the possibility of a club starting up in the GR area. I know there is GVAC that is dominated by the freshwater side. I was thinking it would be much more fun to be able to trade corals and information with other local reefers. I'm in spring lake but work in GR.

I don't know the logistics but this is a fantastic idea

Melevs reef just did a video on this. Ultimately I think it starts with getting a small group together and just having a meeting at someone's house to bs about tanks until it gets big enough to warrant a renting a location or paying for speakers.

Reef News Network (RNN) also did a few podcasts on the topic of starting and running local clubs that you may want to listen to for insights and inspiration. Good luck with whatever direction that you go!
